There is a new viral marketing program called My Viral Pop Ads that is the latest creation from Craig Haywood. I have been using it since it came out about a month ago and it gets my seal of approval.
It uses the same premise as instant buzz with some variations but this one builds your list too. Once you set it up you don't have to do any work, just surf the net like normal and you will earn free traffic. If you can afford it, the upgrade will send you mega traffic. Make sure you upgrade at the one time offer and you will save yourself $100.

The fastest and easiest way I have found to build your list is by participating in JV giveaways. I have spent the first part of this month setting up and promoting myself in several JV giveaway events and have added over 200 people to my list in about 10 days time.
The giveaways themselves are awesome because of all the marketing tools that you get for free. They are also a good place to get items with resell rights that you can use to participate in JV giveaways.
JV giveaways are all about leveraging the power of everybodies promotion. You have an entire group of people, (some with very large lists), driving traffic to the same website where your gift resides. You can get more exposure in a day than you could produce by yourself in a month.
People fill out a form to dwonload your gift and they are in your marketing funnel. Some will unsubscribe but you just need to get used to that. Provide good content and build a relationship with your list and most will not unsubscribe.
You can also make money while you build your list. Make sure you send your prospects to a one time offer AFTER they confirm their subscription and BEFORE they download their gift. I also encourage you to add a viral element to your giveaway participation and by giving away a brandable ebook or report. My attempted giveaway didn't turn out to well but there are always some lessons to be learned from our failures.
- I should have done a little research instead of acting on a whim (if I had, I would have found that participating in a JV giveaway was a much better and easier option)
- always have all aspects of a promotion in place before you begin (I should have had all the blog posts completed a head of time and all the gifts uploaded to my server before I started)
- don't ask to much of the participants (having a daily task to qualify for the grand prise wasn't such a good idea because nobody qualified, I guess 12 days was too much)
- make sure you create lots of pre-launch buzz so that you get sufficient traffic when the time comes
I have decided not to worry about it and think it would have been better if I had concentrated my efforts on list building and viral techniques, which was my main purpose for creating this blog.
So tomorrow, back to work. I am going to talk about one of the fastest and easiest list building techniques I have ever seen.

I ran across this the other day and bookmarked it to look at later. I got up early this morning and checked it out. Have you seen the Santa Sal's giveaway yet? It puts my Christmas promotion to shame. I have a link for you, even though it will distract you from my promotion and make mine look insignificant, but it is to good for me not to share with you. The main reason I want you to see it is to see the viral tactics used to promote it and the viral nature of the concept itself.
You see, all of the products have been donated by big time marketing gurus and not so big time marketers. Why would you give away one of your products for free so someone else can get credit for being generous? You will see when you download each of the products, that you are required to give up your name and email address. Did a little light bulb just go off in your head? If it did then you are beginning to understand the power of viral marketing.
Santa Sal is Harris Fellman of "Peel Away Ads" fame and "Sal the Site Stealer", thus Santa Sal. I saw him speak at The World Internet Event in San Francisco this past September and he is quite a character. He said that he had a list of about 16, 000 people. Now if you take into consideration the JV's that he had on this, which are probably quite substantial, his Santa Sal promotion was probably sent out to over 100,000 people. That means that if one of your products was part of his giveaway, you just built your self a huge list in a matter of days.
Some of the contributors have taken it a step further and are using one time offers to immediately monetize their efforts. I hope you see the incredible power of this. If you are a newbie you need to pay close attention to this. Using these kind of tactics is what will make a difference in the success you have online. This is why you will here over and over the phrase "the money is in the list". From the minute you begin your internet marketing career you should begin to build your list and continue to do so always.

Most of us don't have famous JV partners like Santa Sal, but in later lessons I will show you some places where you can find partners.

It has been 10 days since I started the demo and I have 20 people that have signed up for the the system. This is pretty good considering this past weekend and so far this week I haven't really done squat as far as surfing is concerned. I am pretty good about surfing at least 250 pages with Webizinsider. This is because I can launch the group and let it run in the background while I work on other stuff.
I apologize for not being vigilant with the other traffic exchanges but I have been busy promoting 2 new programs. One of them is this neat kind of pop up called Peel Away Ads. Go to the Traffic Hits home page and you will see an example in the upper right hand corner. Make sure you move your mouse over the flashing corner. It's pretty cool.
The second thing that kept me preoccupied is the launch of List Bandit. Are you familiar with "Your Lucky List" and "The List Machine"? This is by the same guy, Gary Ambrose. I just had to join his new project and have been promoting via a Squidoo page. If you don't know about Squidoo, leave a comment and I'll get back to you. I don't even have enough time to get into it right now. Lets just say that it is one of the easiest ways to get a page ranked high in the search engines.
